President Bola Tinubu has directed the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force and intelligence agencies to intensify operations to apprehend those responsible for the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The directive was conveyed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Tinubu ordered security agencies to strengthen operations across the affected communities to track down the perpetrators and restore normalcy to the area.
The President also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the nation’s security architecture, equipping security personnel and dismantling criminal networks threatening peace and stability across the country.
He urged residents to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and actionable intelligence to support efforts aimed at preventing further attacks and improving emergency response.
The directive followed Monday’s attack on Naridon Village, where about 30 residents, including women and children, were reportedly killed and several homes destroyed.
Condemning the incident, Tinubu described it as a barbaric and cowardly attack on innocent citizens and vowed that those responsible would be identified and brought to justice.
He stressed that individuals seeking to undermine the peace and security recently recorded in Kaduna State would not escape punishment.
The President also extended his condolences to the families of the victims, Governor Uba Sani, the Kaduna State Government and the people of the state.
He assured the affected communities of the Federal Government’s support during the mourning period and reiterated his administration’s resolve to address security challenges across the country.
