The governorship candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress in Kano State, Aminu Gwarzo, has celebrated the party’s presidential flag bearer, Peter Obi, on the occasion of his 65th birthday, describing him as a leader whose dedication to national development continues to inspire many Nigerians.
In a message released through his spokesperson, Ibrahim Shuaibu, on Monday, Gwarzo commended Obi’s leadership style, saying his emphasis on accountability, honesty and responsible governance has distinguished him in Nigeria’s political landscape.
He noted that Obi’s long-standing advocacy for transparent leadership, economic reforms, improved education and national cohesion has earned him admiration across the country.
“Mr Obi’s strong support for transparency, economic growth, quality education and national unity has earned him the respect and admiration of Nigerians across the country,” Gwarzo said.
The former Kano deputy governor prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health and wisdom for Obi, wishing him many more years of meaningful service to the nation.
He also encouraged Nigerians to support Peter Obi and other NDC candidates in the coming general elections, expressing optimism that they would promote inclusive development and create a country where everyone has a fair opportunity to succeed.
