A Nigerian man believed to be more than 120 years old has reportedly celebrated 94 years of marriage with his four wives, who are all said to be alive.
The elderly man, reportedly from Ilorin, was filmed sitting alongside his four wives in a video that has circulated on social media.
The footage, shared by Badagry Blog on Instagram, shows the man surrounded by his wives, with those who posted the video describing the occasion as an extraordinary example of longevity and marital endurance.
However, his reported age, identity, location and marriage history have not been independently verified.
No publicly available documentation has been presented to confirm that the man is 120 years old or that his marriages have lasted for 94 years.
Nevertheless, the lack of official documentation does not necessarily make such a claim impossible. Birth registration was limited or unavailable in many parts of Africa during much of the 20th century, leaving some elderly people without formal records confirming their dates of birth.
