Social media has been flooded with reactions after a leaked video allegedly showing a Chinese factory producing 40,000 customised campaign tablets for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
In the viral footage, a Nigerian man visiting the factory expressed shock after discovering tablets bearing Tinubu’s name reportedly being manufactured for his campaign. He confronted the factory owner, who claimed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) had awarded him a contract to produce 40,000 tablets for the president’s campaign.
The devices reportedly carry campaign messages in English, Yoruba and Hausa, alongside the slogan, “A New Nigeria Is Possible.”
The revelation has triggered widespread criticism and divided opinions online, with many questioning spending priorities amid Nigeria’s economic challenges. The claims surrounding the contract have not been independently verified.
