A Nigerian woman has reportedly landed in trouble after NDLEA operatives allegedly discovered illicit drugs concealed in a keg of palm oil she was taking to Saudi Arabia.
The woman was said to have agreed to deliver the keg on behalf of another person, who reportedly asked her to hand it over to a recipient in the Middle Eastern country.
She allegedly had no idea that the palm oil container was being used to transport illegal substances.
However, the plan reportedly came to light when NDLEA officers intercepted the keg at the airport, leading to her arrest.
Details about the type and quantity of drugs allegedly recovered, as well as the identities of those who gave her the package and were meant to receive it, have not been provided.
The incident serves as a reminder to travellers to be careful about accepting items from others, especially when they do not know exactly what is inside.
