An 11-year-old girl has died from injuries sustained in a school shooting in southern Turkey more than two weeks ago, raising the death toll to 10, according to media reports.
Almina Agaoglu passed away in hospital, private broadcaster NTV reported.
The attack occurred on April 15 in Kahramanmaras province, where a 14-year-old student opened fire, killing nine pupils aged between 10 and 11, as well as a teacher. The teenage attacker died at the scene.
Authorities revealed that the gunman brought five firearms to the school and was the son of a former police inspector, who has since been arrested.
In a separate incident a day earlier in Sanliurfa province, a former student opened fire at his old secondary school, injuring 16 people before taking his own life when confronted by police.
The attacks have triggered widespread public anger, with Recep Tayyip Erdogan dismissing a deputy education minister and pledging tighter gun control measures.
