The University of Benin has named Bimpe Omoyiwola as its 10th substantive registrar.
The announcement was made in a statement released on Wednesday by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Benedicta Ehanire, in Benin.
Omoyiwola is set to take over from Ademola Bobola, whose five-year tenure concludes on March 31, with her resumption scheduled for April 1.
According to Ehanire, the incoming registrar is from Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State and holds a Master’s degree in International History and Diplomacy from the University of Benin, along with other postgraduate credentials.
She also noted that Omoyiwola is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Management of Nigeria and is expected to leverage her administrative expertise in overseeing the university’s registry.
Prior to her appointment, she served as Director (Registry) at the College of Postgraduate Studies of the university.
