US fighter jets crash in Kuwait, crew members safe

The Kuwait Ministry of Defence has announced that several United States military aircraft crashed in the country on Monday morning.

While the cause of the incident remains unknown, a spokesperson for the ministry confirmed the “complete safety” of all crew members in an official statement.

The number of aircraft involved and the total personnel affected have not been disclosed.

According to the statement, search and rescue teams evacuated the crew and transported them to hospital for medical attention.

The ministry described their condition as “stable”.

“Concerned authorities are following up on the investigations to determine the causes of the incident,” the statement added.

Earlier footage shared on social media showed a fighter jet engulfed in flames before crashing near a US air base in Kuwait.

Although initial details were unclear, including the aircraft’s ownership, an analysis by CNN indicated that the twin-engine jet seen in the video resembled a F-15E Strike Eagle operated by the United States. The pilot was reported to have ejected safely.

Iran later claimed responsibility for bringing down the aircraft.

The development comes amid escalating tensions in the region. Since the United States and Israel launched coordinated strikes on Iran on Saturday, three US soldiers have reportedly been killed and five others injured.

United States President Donald Trump has pledged to retaliate for the deaths, while cautioning that further casualties may occur before hostilities subside.
