[VIDEO] Man in Tinubu cap sparks reactions after urging Nigerians to vote wisely in 2027

A Nigerian man seen wearing a cap with the insignia of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has triggered online reactions after posting a video from a train station in China, where he advised Nigerians to be intentional in their voting choices ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In the viral clip, he identified the location as Sancha train station and praised China’s level of development while criticising Nigerian political leaders over poor governance and weak infrastructure delivery.

He spoke in a mix of English and Pidgin, pointing to the modern transport system around him and questioning how public funds are being managed by elected officials in Nigeria.

Man compares China’s development with Nigeria

He said the train station reflected how Chinese leaders prioritise development and ensure access to public facilities for citizens across all social classes.

According to him, both wealthy and low-income citizens use the same infrastructure in the country.

He was heard saying:

“I’m at the train station in Sancha. Guys, this is train station. This place is train station.

“So, you see, look at the view. So, these our politicians. They know all this up there.

“This is train station in China. So, what are you people doing in that Abuja, in that House of Assembly, Senate, House of Representatives?

“Wetin una dey represent us? Come China, come see, there is no rich man, there is no poor man.

“They eat the same thing, they wear the same cloth, they do something for their people.”

Advises Nigerians ahead of 2027 elections

He also urged Nigerians not to support politicians who fail to deliver good governance, saying voting should be based on performance rather than financial inducement.

He encouraged voters to accept money from politicians if offered, but still vote according to their conscience during elections.

“Nigerians, any politicians, wey no do well, no vote am. Collect him money, chop am.

“If they give you money, don’t reject it. Collect their money, vote your conscience. These our politicians, they are very, very wicked set of people.

“See, no mind anybody face oo. If they want to give you money, collect the money, during vote, vote your conscience. What you see here, this is train station.”

He added that China’s infrastructure and sense of equality between citizens were striking, noting that both rich and poor people share the same transport systems and public services.

He said the experience should serve as a lesson for Nigerian leaders and citizens ahead of future elections.
