VIDEO: “APC tickets are not for sale” Osun APC tells Gov Adeleke

Days after Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke’s visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a stern caution, advising him to steer clear of the party.

Governor Adeleke, who was accompanied by his elder brother, Adedeji, and nephew, David, has fueled speculations about a potential defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC. Some analysts view this as a strategic move to enhance his chances for a second term.

Speaking at the Tinubu/Shettima campaign office in Osogbo, APC chieftain Timothy Owoeye unequivocally stated:

“I’m saying this categorically that APC tickets are not for sale. As of today, we don’t see Adeleke as a member or part of the APC as a party. Let me be sincere with you: the APC in Osun is the party to beat.”

Owoeye expressed confidence in the APC’s ability to unseat Adeleke and the PDP in the upcoming election, dismissing the notion that Adeleke’s involvement could strengthen their position.

“If not for the fear of the unknown that is disturbing the Adeleke family and the PDP, they wouldn’t have been showing the intention of coming to the APC,” he asserted.

He concluded by declaring there is “no vacancy” in the APC for Governor Adeleke or any PDP members, reaffirming the party’s unity and preparedness to reclaim Osun’s governorship seat.
