Umo Eno says his recent trips to Bola Tinubu and the CSS Farms in Nasarawa State were focused on broadening Akwa Ibom State’s development prospects.
In a statement from the Government House Press Unit, the governor spoke to correspondents upon arriving at Victor Attah International Airport on Sunday.
Eno explained that his meeting with President Tinubu was a routine briefing on developments in the state.
“From time to time, governors meet with the President. He is the father of the nation. As a sub-national leader, you brief him on the affairs of the state, areas where support is needed, and ongoing developments. It was one of such briefings,” he said.
Regarding his visit to CSS Farms, Eno described it as a study tour aimed at strengthening the state’s agricultural initiatives.
He noted that the visit was intended to examine the facility’s multi-dimensional agricultural operations and draw lessons that could be adapted to the ongoing Ibom Model Farm, in line with his administration’s ARISE Agenda.
“We went to observe what they are doing and what we can improve on. You must compare notes,” he said.
“Let our team see what others are doing, understand the drivers of their success, and identify ideas we can adopt. It was strictly a working visit.”
