Wike departed Abuja on Sunday and landed in Dubai at about 4 a.m. on Monday. He was received by Nigeria’s Consul General in Dubai, Ambassador Zayyanu Ibrahim, together with officials from the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) who had arrived ahead of him.

On Tuesday, Wike is expected to lead a discussion panel where he will speak about recent developments in the FCT and interact with mayors from other leading global cities.

According to the organisers, the 2025APCS seeks to promote sustainable trade and investment partnerships among cities and businesses across the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and beyond.

Initiated by the Brisbane City Council in Australia, the summit remains one of the most inclusive international gatherings of mayors, city leaders, business executives, and young professionals worldwide.
