Zamfara Community protests insecurity

Residents of Fegin Mahe, a community in Ruwan-Bore Ward under Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State, staged a peaceful protest at the Government House in Gusau, denouncing the escalating insecurity in their area.

A large crowd of visibly distressed residents carried placards and called on the state government to take immediate action against the persistent attacks by armed bandits, which have plunged their community into fear and uncertainty.

Protesters decried the complete absence of security personnel in Fegin Mahe, leaving the village defenceless against frequent raids and criminal activities.

Speaking to Channels Television, one resident explained that the protest became necessary after months of government silence and inaction.

They urged Governor Dauda Lawal and the relevant security agencies to deploy officers to the area without delay. They insisted that a visible security presence would help deter further attacks and restore peace to the troubled community.

The protesters warned that without swift intervention, their village risked complete collapse.
