Tosin Adarabioyo’s transfer to Tottenham Hotspur has brought back memories of his long-standing connection with the club.
Spurs fans recently unearthed a 2012 social media post from the defender, dating back to when he was a teenager, in which he openly declared his support for Tottenham.
Adarabioyo had highlighted the roles of Luka Modrić, Scott Parker and Rafael van der Vaart in creating chances for wide players Aaron Lennon and Gareth Bale.
“I guess you won’t be optimistic, but I will definitely support my team, Tottenham Hotspur!” he wrote.
More than 14 years later, Adarabioyo has finally joined the club he once supported from the stands.
According to Chelsea reporter Kinsella, Tottenham paid an initial £10m for the centre-back, while a further £2m could be added through performance-related bonuses.
The move marks a remarkable full-circle moment for Adarabioyo, who has gone from being a young Spurs supporter to becoming a Tottenham player.
