Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, and Nollywood actor Charles Okocha have reignited their rivalry ahead of their much-anticipated celebrity boxing rematch scheduled to hold in Lagos.
The duo clashed during a pre-fight face-off on Friday, where both entertainers exchanged heated words on stage before security officials intervened to prevent the confrontation from escalating.
Videos from the event, which circulated widely on social media, showed Portable and Okocha trading insults, standing face-to-face and throwing mock punches as a moderator attempted to redirect attention to the upcoming bout.
Portable expressed confidence in securing another victory over Okocha, insisting that he had prepared adequately and was ready to repeat his previous success against the actor.
“I’m the man… I go prepare, I don prepare, I go win again, I go fight again. I go beat Charles Okocha,” he said.
Okocha, however, dismissed Portable’s remarks and advised him to reserve his energy for the fight night.
“So what are you talking about? Can you save that for the ring? Can you save that on the 31st? Don’t disrespect me! I’m not your mate. Don’t disrespect me,” Okocha said.
The face-off has since generated reactions from fans and celebrities online, with many sharing clips of the exchange while predicting the possible outcome of the rematch.
Organisers have confirmed that the boxing event will be streamed live.
The upcoming contest follows Portable’s unanimous decision victory over Okocha in their first encounter. After the loss, Okocha activated the rematch clause, paving the way for another showdown between the two celebrities.
