Andre netted a dramatic 94th-minute winner as bottom-placed Wolves stunned reigning Premier League champions Liverpool.

With relegation looming, Wolves had recently shown renewed fight, picking up four points from their last two home fixtures against Arsenal and Aston Villa. Determined not to become another upset victim, Liverpool began brightly. Cody Gakpo tested José Sá early with a long-range strike, while Jeremie Frimpong fired over after a powerful run and assist from Hugo Ekitiké.
Wolves were content to absorb pressure, keeping Liverpool largely contained in a forgettable first half. The hosts failed to register a shot before the break, and despite controlling possession, Liverpool managed only two efforts on target.
Soon after the restart, Liverpool appealed for a penalty when Frimpong’s cross appeared to strike Ladislav Krejčí’s arm, but nothing was given. From the ensuing corner, Ekitiké flicked Salah’s delivery toward Curtis Jones, only for Gakpo to accidentally divert it away before the ball bounced off the crossbar. Wolves then delivered a shock blow in the 78th minute. Tolu Arokodare overpowered Virgil van Dijk to meet a long pass and set up Rodrigo Gomes, who lofted a composed finish over Alisson to put the hosts ahead. Rio Ngumoha nearly equalised soon after, but Sá produced a fine save to tip his effort onto the post.
Liverpool eventually found a leveller through Mohamed Salah, who intercepted Jean-Ricner Bellegarde’s pass and poked home his first league goal since November.
However, as the visitors searched for a late winner, Wolves struck decisively in stoppage time. Andre’s effort deflected heavily off Joe Gomez and found the net, sealing a sensational victory.
Though still 11 points from safety, Wolves’ spirited display keeps faint survival hopes alive. For Liverpool, the defeat represents a costly setback in the intensifying battle for a top-five finish and UEFA Champions League qualification.
