Liverpool manager Arne Slot has confirmed that the club is open to letting Luis Diaz leave during the summer transfer window.
Diaz, who did not feature in the Reds’ recent 4-2 defeat to AC Milan in Singapore, continues to be linked with a potential switch to Bayern Munich.
The Colombian forward has acknowledged that he is weighing his options this summer, with Barcelona showing early interest and Bayern emerging as a strong contender in recent weeks.
Speaking to the club’s website, Slot made it clear that Diaz is currently not in his plans for the upcoming Premier League campaign.
“He’s training really well with us, but for now we’ve decided not to play him yet. I’m used to speaking regularly with most of my players.
As I said, Lucho is training very well, and we’ve decided he won’t play for the moment. Was he excluded because of the speculation about his future? Yes, but I can’t comment much more on that.”
