Arsenal star closes restaurant after just one year

Ukraine international and Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko has shut down his upscale restaurant in Kyiv only a year after its opening.

The left-back launched the venture in Ukraine’s capital last summer, naming it “Inch”—a nod to his surname and the idea of gradual progress.

The former Manchester City player, along with his wife, TV presenter Vlada Sedan, gave the restaurant a sports-themed ambiance, featuring memorabilia such as jerseys from football legends like Ronaldinho.

Despite its unique concept, speculation about the restaurant’s future surfaced prior to its quiet closure last month.

Zinchenko, 31, has now listed the business for sale at £1.9 million.

According to the real estate listing, the venue features a “designer interior, equipped kitchen, and favourable location.” The offer includes the complete business setup—equipment, branding, and legal documents.

Kyiv has remained under threat from airstrikes since the Russian invasion began in 2022.

Zinchenko previously won four Premier League titles, an FA Cup, and four League Cups with Manchester City before transferring to Arsenal in 2022 for £30 million. He has made 91 appearances for the Gunners so far, scoring three goals.
