Arsenal FC have emerged champions of the English Premier League for the first time since their historic “Invincibles” season under Arsène Wenger in 2003/04.
The north London side secured the 2025/26 league title on Tuesday after closest rivals Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
Mikel Arteta’s men had earlier boosted their chances with a narrow 1-0 victory over Burnley, moving four points clear at the top with just one game left to play, leaving City unable to catch up mathematically.
After finishing second in the previous three campaigns, Arsenal finally clinched the title with a season built on defensive discipline and consistency in crucial matches. William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães formed a solid defensive partnership, while goalkeeper David Raya recorded 19 clean sheets to win a third straight Golden Glove award.
