Real Madrid youngster Endrick Felipe and his wife Gabriely Miranda have announced they are expecting their first child together.
The couple shared the news on social media on Friday, with Miranda posting an emotional video and photos of them celebrating the pregnancy. “Now there are five of us,” she wrote, referencing the pair alongside their two dogs. She added, “You are our love in the form of life,” and included a Bible quote: “You knit me together in the womb.” – Psalms 139:13.
Endrick, 19, and Miranda, 23, have been married since September 2024, tying the knot less than a year after meeting. Their relationship has previously drawn attention after they revealed they had agreed to a “relationship contract” outlining rules and commitments.
Reported clauses included avoiding addictions and major behavioral changes, as well as always saying “I love you.” Other unusual terms allegedly banned Endrick from having a “virtual girlfriend” on Grand Theft Auto V and from commenting on other women’s Instagram posts, while emphasizing that their relationship should be built on “respect, understanding and affection.”
Miranda has closely supported Endrick’s career, relocating to Spain when he joined Real Madrid in a £51m move from Palmeiras in 2024. The couple later moved to France in December, with Endrick joining Olympique Lyonnais on loan to gain more playing time.
The forward has struggled for consistent starts, making just nine starts in 18 months at Madrid, with most of his 40 appearances coming off the bench. However, he initially impressed in France, including a hat-trick in a 5-2 win over Metz in January, and has contributed six goals and five assists overall.
In recent weeks, though, his impact has dipped, drawing criticism from Lyon manager Paulo Fonseca. Speaking on Friday, Fonseca said he expected more from the young forward, particularly as the club looks to end a nine-match winless run.
Endrick, who featured in Brazil’s recent World Cup warm-up matches in the United States, reportedly attributed a recent underwhelming performance in a goalless draw with Angers to fatigue from travel. Fonseca acknowledged the explanation but stressed that the striker must take greater responsibility and deliver stronger performances for the team.
