Chelsea are weighing up a late transfer move for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez.
The Argentina international’s representatives have offered Martinez to Chelsea as the Blues consider their options between the posts.
Chelsea’s current No. 1, Robert Sanchez, faced criticism following his mistake in Monday’s victory over Fulham.
Martinez is expected to leave Villa after the club completed the signing of Zion Suzuki from Parma for almost £30 million.
The Argentina World Cup winner had also attracted interest from Juventus, but the Italian giants opted to sign Guglielmo Vicario from Tottenham instead.
