EPL: Sterling inspires Chelsea to first win of season

Chelsea Football Club has just bounced back from the West Ham defeat with a 3-0 win over Luton at Stamford Bridge on Friday night.

Raheem Sterling’s brace and Nicolas Jackson’s goal gave Mauricio Pochettino his first win as Chelsea manager.

In the 17th minute, Raheem Sterling, the England winger who has started the season in excellent form, picked up the ball wide on the right and dribbled past three defenders before firing a low shot into the bottom corner.

Ben Chilwell had a golden opportunity to make it 2-0 in the first half, but he chose to pass instead of shooting when through on goal. Chelsea eventually went on to win 3-0, with goals from Sterling (67′) and Jackson (75′).

Luton, who are yet to pick up a point in the Premier League since their promotion from the Championship, gave Chelsea a tough test but the Blues’ superior quality ultimately prevailed in taking all three points.
