Manchester City forward Phil Foden has signed a four-year contract extension, committing his future to the Premier League club.
The new deal, which includes an option for a further one-year extension, secures the England international’s future after a difficult spell affected by injuries and inconsistent form.
Foden, 26, said remaining at City means everything to him, describing the club as the only one he has ever wanted to play for.
He thanked the club, teammates, staff and supporters for their continued trust, pledging to repay their faith in the years ahead.
The midfielder has enjoyed a trophy-laden career since graduating from City’s academy, winning six Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, two FA Cups and five League Cups.
Foden has scored 110 goals in 369 appearances for the club and is among the most decorated players in Manchester City’s history.
The contract extension comes after an injury-hit campaign that saw him struggle for form and miss out on England’s squad for the recent FIFA World Cup.
He also welcomed the appointment of new manager Enzo Maresca, describing the Italian as an excellent coach whose possession-based style suits his game.
Maresca, who took charge in June, previously worked as part of Pep Guardiola’s coaching staff during Manchester City’s treble-winning 2022/23 campaign.
