Fulham confirm Iwobi absence against Arsenal clash

Fulham manager Marco Silva has confirmed that Alex Iwobi will be unavailable for the club’s Premier League match against Arsenal.

The Whites are set to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The Nigerian midfielder picked up a hamstring injury during Fulham’s goalless draw with Brentford two weeks ago.

The 29-year-old was also absent from the team’s 1-0 win over Burnley last weekend.

Silva stated that the versatile midfielder is still not fit enough to return for the encounter against Mikel Arteta’s side.

“Alex [Iwobi] is out still, plus Kevin. Kenny [Tete], we will have to see how he reacts from the last two sessions. He can probably be involved in the game,” Silva said.

“We have some doubts on some players, but we will assess them tomorrow to see how they react from things that happened in the week.”
