Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi has been named the CAF 2025 African Footballer of the Year after an exceptional season for both club and country.
The 27-year-old outperformed Egypt’s Mohamed Salah and Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen to claim the highly coveted award, reinforcing his reputation as one of the continent’s elite players.
In the women’s categories, Nigeria and Brighton goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie secured the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year title for the third year in a row, while Morocco’s Ghizlaine Chebbak earned the CAF Women’s Player of the Year award.
