Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez has revealed that his main focus remains with the club and that he is unconcerned by ongoing speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona.
The Argentine striker has been regularly associated with a potential switch to Barcelona in recent years, although the Catalan club’s continued financial challenges have prevented any transfer from materialising.
Speaking in an interview with Marca, Alvarez responded to the rumours, stressing that his attention is firmly on aspects within his control.
“I am very calm,” Alvarez said when asked whether the Barcelona links affected him. “I always say that one has to be calm and do things well on the pitch.
“But it doesn’t bother me, things are always said, there are always rumours. I try to stay focused on what I have to do, which is to play and help the team.”
