Morocco set to host 2025 CAF awards ceremony on november 19

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the 2025 CAF Awards will be held in Rabat, Morocco, on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

In a statement released on its official website on Friday, CAF announced that the ceremony will start at 7 p.m. local time (7 p.m. Nigerian time) and will honour Africa’s finest footballers, coaches, clubs, and national teams for their exceptional achievements over the past year.

Nigeria is once again expected to feature prominently, with several of its stars among the leading contenders for major awards.

In the men’s categories, Super Eagles players Victor Osimhen, Stanley Nwabali, and rising talent Daniel Bameyi are representing the country.

Osimhen, who claimed the 2023 CAF African Player of the Year award, is once again shortlisted for the top men’s honour after another impressive season in Europe.

Chippa United’s Stanley Nwabali is nominated for Goalkeeper of the Year, while Daniel Bameyi of Primorje (Slovenia) is in contention for Young Player of the Year.

For the women’s awards, Super Falcons stars Rasheedat Ajibade (Atletico Madrid) and Esther Okoronkwo are among the 10 nominees for African Women’s Player of the Year, while Chiamaka Nnadozie has been shortlisted for Goalkeeper of the Year.
