Al-Ittihad has ended its contractual relationship with 34-year-old French midfielder N’Golo Kanté.
In an official statement, Al-Ittihad confirmed that the club reached an agreement to buy out the remaining period of Kanté’s contract. The club praised his performances and impact during his spell with the team, noting that he played a key role in their Saudi Professional League and Saudi King’s Cup triumphs. Al-Ittihad also extended its best wishes to Kanté as he moves on in his career.
As a result of the termination, Kanté is now a free agent. According to a report by journalist Romano, the midfielder is expected to join Fenerbahçe once the transfer receives approval from FIFA.
