Fulham have officially announced that Oscar Bobb joins the club until the summer of 2031
The Club is pleased to confirm the acquisition of Oscar Bobb from Manchester City for an undisclosed fee.
A Premier League champion, Bobb has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract, keeping him at Fulham until the summer of 2031.
He will don the number 14 shirt.
Speaking to FFCtv, the 22-year-old said: “It feels great to be here. I had a great day meeting everyone and I’m very excited.
“I’ve always known Fulham to be a good club, with good players and a great stadium. I spoke to Sander, my good friend, and I spoke to the Manager, and he explained what the system’s like, and how the lads are, and how the Club is.
“He seemed lovely, so it was an easy decision basically.”
Tony Khan added: “I’m thrilled to welcome Oscar Bobb to Fulham! He is an exciting young player who is eager to come and play for the Club, as we aim to continue the team’s positive momentum through the second half of the season and plan for a promising future!
“Welcome, Oscar! Come on Fulham!”
An elegant winger with excellent ball control and vision, Bobb mainly plays on the right wing and enjoys cutting inside onto his left foot, though he can also operate on the opposite flank or in a central attacking role.
A Norway international, Bobb progressed through the Vålerenga youth system in his homeland before joining the renowned City Football Academy after turning 16.
Interestingly, his senior debut came against Fulham in a Premier League clash at the Etihad at the start of the 2023/24 season. That match marked the first of 26 appearances he made that season as City went on to win both the Premier League and the Club World Cup.
Bobb had already scored for City in the UEFA Champions League before netting in the Premier League, but his goal against Newcastle United is likely to be especially memorable for City fans. With the score tied at 2-2 in stoppage time at St James’ Park, Bobb made a brilliant run, was set up by Kevin De Bruyne, and showed superb skill to beat the goalkeeper and score the winner—earning Premier League Goal of the Month.
He began the next season with an assist in a Man of the Match performance as City defeated rivals Manchester United in the Community Shield at Wembley, but a broken leg in training sidelined him until the following April.
Bobb started the current campaign as Pep Guardiola’s preferred right winger, featuring in the first three Premier League matches and appearing 15 times in all competitions before joining Fulham.
At Fulham, he reunites with fellow Norwegian Sander Berge, an international teammate since Bobb earned his first cap at age 20. Bobb now has 16 caps and two goals for Norway and will represent his country at this summer’s World Cup, having helped them qualify for the tournament for the first time in nearly 30 years.
