Portugal’s equipment manager, António Costa, reportedly left the national team’s training camp together with Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to reports, Ronaldo’s departure from the Portugal camp was followed by another member of the team’s staff being asked to pack his belongings and leave the camp as well.
The staff member was identified as António Costa, who is responsible for handling the team’s clothing and equipment.
Costa has been part of the team’s support staff and is responsible for making sure the players have the necessary clothing and equipment during their time with the national team.
Report stated that Costa was instructed to leave the training camp at the same time as Ronaldo and later accompanied the captain when he departed.
The development has drawn attention because Costa’s role is directly connected to the players and their equipment, making his departure alongside Ronaldo notable.
The report did not give further details about why Costa was asked to leave the camp with Ronaldo.
Costa reportedly remained with Ronaldo as the Al Nassr forward left the Portugal training camp.
