Remo Stars crowned 2024/2025 NPFL Champions with three games to spare

Remo Stars have secured the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League title with three matches remaining, following a hard-fought 1-0 win against Niger Tornadoes in a match-day 35 encounter in Ikenne on Sunday.

Second-half substitute Olamilekan Adedayo netted the decisive goal in the 83rd minute, capping off a determined display from coach Daniel Ogunmodede’s side.

The win marked Remo Stars’ 21st victory of the campaign, taking them to 68 points — a commanding 10-point lead over second-placed Rivers United — and ensuring the title stays out of reach for their rivals.

In doing so, Remo Stars became the first club from Nigeria’s Southwest to lift the league title since Julius Berger achieved the feat in 1991.
