Last season’s Serie A top scorer, Mateo Retegui, has completed a transfer from Atalanta to Saudi club Al-Qadsiah, the club confirmed on Monday.
Italian media report that Al-Qadsiah paid over €60 million (£51 million) for the Italian international, although the duration of his contract remains undisclosed.
The 26-year-old netted 25 league goals in the 2024 season following his move to Atalanta that same year.
Al-Qadsiah welcomed him on social media, hailing him as “El Matador. Al Qadsiah’s new power.”
Born in Argentina, Retegui replaces former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is reportedly set to return to Marseille.
