Six super eagles set for 2026/27 Champions League

The 2026/27 UEFA Champions League will see six Nigerian players take centre stage as they represent their respective clubs in Europe’s premier club competition.

The players include some established Super Eagles names as well as emerging talents looking to make their mark against the continent’s best.

Victor Osimhen — Galatasaray

Osimhen headlines the Nigerian contingent at Galatasaray, with the Turkish champions preparing for another Champions League campaign. The striker’s strength, speed and finishing ability make him a major threat in the competition.

Ademola Lookman — Atlético Madrid

Lookman will be looking to make his mark with Atlético Madrid following his move from Atalanta. His pace, attacking quality and creativity are expected to add another dimension to Diego Simeone’s squad.

Samuel Chukwueze — AC Milan
