Four players from Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have been named in the Best XI of the Group Stage at the 2025 WAFU B U-20 Championship.
The selected players are centre-back Ahmed Akinyele, left-back Odinaka Okoro, winger Bidemi Amole, and forward Muhammed Abdullahi.
Abdullahi has been impressive in the tournament, netting two goals so far.
The Best XI also features two players each from host nation Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, and Togo, while Burkina Faso has one representative.
Côte d’Ivoire’s Younes Zerdouk was recognized as the Group Stage’s best coach.
Nigeria are set to face Niger Republic in the semi-finals on Sunday (today), while Ghana’s Black Satellites take on Côte d’Ivoire in the other semi-final clash.
