Fenerbahçe have completed the signing of English forward Mason Greenwood from Olympique de Marseille on a four-year contract.
In an official statement, the Turkish club confirmed that an agreement had been reached with both Marseille and the 24-year-old player, making Greenwood the latest addition to their squad.
Fenerbahçe said the €39 million transfer fee will be paid to Marseille in three equal instalments over a three-year period. The club also confirmed it will cover the FIFA-mandated solidarity contribution associated with the transfer.
“We say to Mason Greenwood, ‘Welcome to our family’; we wish our Fenerbahçe countless victories and championships in the Yellow and Navy colours,” the club said in a statement.
Greenwood joins Fenerbahçe after a season with Marseille, where he rebuilt his career following his departure from Manchester United. He will now look to help the Turkish giants compete for domestic honours and European success.
