A rainstorm has caused extensive damage to numerous homes in the Shanga Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State extended his condolences to the residents of Garin Kestu in Atuwo Ward, Shanga Local Government, suggesting that they view the event as an act of God.
This information was shared in a statement from the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ahmed Idris.
The statement indicated that the governor, represented by Audu Audu, the Chairman of Shanga Local Government, noted that the heavy rainfall on Tuesday night resulted in the destruction of homes and property valued in the millions of naira.
He assured the affected individuals that the government would offer assistance, including providing building materials.
The governor also requested their patience, promising that the state government would soon provide support.
