Popular businesswoman and socialite, Aisha Achimugu, has appeared before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Achimugu arrived at the court around 11:35 a.m. on Wednesday, escorted by two female operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Her court appearance follows her arrest on Tuesday by EFCC officials at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, shortly after she returned from London. She was subsequently taken into custody.
On Monday, Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court, Abuja, had ordered Achimugu to report to the EFCC on Tuesday and to appear before the court on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
The socialite had earlier been declared wanted by the EFCC in March over allegations of criminal conspiracy and money laundering.
