Rihanna has announced she is expecting her third child, delivering the news in “signature fashion” at the 2025 Met Gala in New York.

The 37-year-old singer and style icon captivated onlookers as she cradled her baby bump and posed for photographers on the navy carpet adorned with daffodils.

Draped in a wide-brimmed hat and a custom, floor-length tailored ensemble, Rihanna made a grand entrance as the evening’s final guest at the annual fundraising gala.

Rihanna, born Robyn Fenty, shares two sons with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky—RZA, born in May 2022, and Riot, born in August 2023.

A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers and who co-chaired the event, confirmed the pregnancy while speaking with reporters on the red carpet.

“It is time to just show the people what we were cooking up,” he said.

When congratulated, he graciously replied, “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

“I’m glad everybody’s happy for us because we’re definitely happy,” he added.

The Met Gala, an annual benefit for the Costume Institute at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, is renowned for its daring themes and spectacular fashion.

This year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” focused on menswear, marking the first such celebration since 2003.

Rihanna is no stranger to making headlines with her pregnancy announcements.

She unveiled her first pregnancy in a Harlem photoshoot with A$AP Rocky and surprised fans during her 2023 Super Bowl halftime performance by debuting her second baby bump.

She now joins other celebrities, such as Serena Williams and Karlie Kloss, who have used the Met Gala to share their baby news, following similar announcements at last year’s event.
