“Earlier today, we handed over the newly rehabilitated Dopemu Road, now Babajide Sanwo-Olu Road. The rehabilitation of these roads was done to bring relief to people and motorists plying the roads. We heard the cry of the people to do more and we’re going to do just that,” the Governor assured.
He stated that he knows there is a road linking the Akesan axis, which is under construction, but the contractor is slow. He promised to push them harder to ensure the work is completed in due time. He also promised more intervention projects including building schools, due to the high increase in population in the community.
The Oba of Ikotun in his remarks appreciated the Governor for his love and commitment to developing the community. He also urged the Governor to do more. He urged the residents of the community to take good care of the road and told them to caution their children not to vandalize the streetlights, warning that anyone caught would be arrested.
