Three-storey building collapses on Lagos Island, injures occupants

A three-storey building collapsed on Thursday morning on Lagos Island, leaving several occupants injured.

The structure, located on Asesi Lane near Adeniji Adele Road, came down without warning in the early hours of the day.

“Four persons have been rescued from the rubble. They have been taken to hospital,” Lagos State Information Commissioner Gbenga Omotoso said in a Facebook post.

Emergency responders, including officials from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), promptly arrived at the scene to carry out rescue operations.
