Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Thursday, announced that peace has been restored in his home state of Rivers, stating that he owes no one an explanation regarding the terms of the reconciliation.
Speaking during a media chat monitored in Abuja, Wike revealed that many individuals had exploited the political crisis in Rivers for personal gain, likening it to an “oil well” from which they were siphoning funds.

He noted that those benefiting from the unrest are now displeased with his reconciliation with the suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara.
