Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has refuted claims suggesting he plans to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) or the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Speaking on Politics Today on Channels Television, Governor Lawal described the defection reports as mere rumours. He affirmed his continued loyalty to the PDP, stating:

“I’m a PDP card-carrying member and I am still in PDP. I have no intention of going anywhere.”
He further clarified that although several parties might be courting him, he remains committed to his current political platform.
“What you heard is a rumour… I have no intention of going anywhere for now,” he added.
