Chelsea defender Malo Gusto has revealed that his top priority is winning the Club World Cup on Sunday.
The Blues secured their place in the final after defeating Fluminense 2-0 in the semi-final, setting up a clash with Paris Saint-Germain, who cruised past Real Madrid with a 4-0 victory.
Speaking to the club’s website, Gusto emphasized that Chelsea will remain committed to their strategy and give their all to secure the title.
“It doesn’t matter who we are going to play in the final. We just have to stay focused on ourselves before the final, stick to our plan and give everything.
“The most important thing was to do the job on Tuesday, and now we are focused on trying to win the final and lift the trophy.”
The final is scheduled to take place on Sunday at the MetLife Stadium, where Chelsea will need to be at their best to overcome a PSG side that dismantled Real Madrid in front of a packed crowd.
Gusto is expected to play a vital role in Chelsea’s defense as they prepare to face attacking threats like Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
