Zimbabwe secured their place at the 2027 Rugby World Cup with a thrilling 30–28 win over Namibia in the Africa Cup final on Saturday.

This marks Zimbabwe’s first World Cup appearance since 1991.

Namibia still have a chance to qualify for what would be their eighth consecutive World Cup. They will face the United Arab Emirates in a play-off ahead of the final qualification rounds in Dubai this November.

The last time Zimbabwe featured in the tournament, they lost all three group-stage matches—falling to Ireland 55–11, Scotland 51–12, and Japan 52–8.
