Jay-Jay Okocha welcomed former Super Eagles head coach, Clemens Westerhof, to his home in Lagos.
In a post on Instagram, Westerhof described the meeting as an “unforgettable night of my life”, adding that his former player showed him hospitality.
Westerhof, a Dutch national, served as the head coach of the Super Eagles from 1989 to 1994.
He guided Nigeria to their second Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title in 1994.
The Dutch tactician also led the team during Nigeria’s maiden appearance at the FIFA World Cup the same year, where the Eagles topped a group featuring Argentina, Bulgaria, and Greece.
It was under Westerhof’s leadership that Jay-Jay Okocha earned his first cap for the Super Eagles, eventually becoming one of the standout players of the squad.
