Veteran actor Patrick Doyle has defended Fuji music legend K1 amid the singer’s recent clash with ValueJet officials.

The incident reportedly occurred when Kwam1 was prevented from boarding a flight after alcohol was allegedly found in a flask he was carrying—a substance prohibited by the airline. Despite attempts to resolve the matter, the singer allegedly insisted on taking the flask onboard, sparking a heated exchange that nearly escalated into a physical altercation with the pilot.

In a Facebook post, Doyle argued that the airline staff had intentionally provoked Kwam1, triggering his reaction. He recounted a similar encounter at Asaba airport, where a check-in attendant rudely refused to let him take carry-on luggage slightly over the weight limit. While tempted to respond harshly, he chose to remain calm, noting how easily service personnel can provoke celebrities—sometimes out of personal grudges or a desire to embarrass them.

Doyle admitted he had lost his temper in the past but now prays for the restraint to avoid such confrontations. In Kwam1’s case, he believes the singer was baited and, unfortunately, the staff succeeded. Sharing his own experience, Doyle said, “For the most part, celebrities and famous people get preferential treatment in most public spaces… However, there have been a few times when I am confronted by a service personnel with a chip on his or her shoulder…” He went on to describe how he once avoided a public scene when a staff member deliberately tried to provoke him, concluding that such “blessed” people should be met with self-control and grace to avoid falling into their traps.
