Recall that Maryam Idris won Silver medal in the 2024 Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition in which over 30,000 submitted entries worldwide.

According to her father,Mr Idris Katib, also award winning public relations practitioner, “Maryam is a child well endowed who has taken mentorship from every member of her family.

“She picks different ideas from different people snd does most of her reading and research all by herself although, as a doubting Thomas, she reluctantly agrees with our views at home.

“That is why she is so distinguished in everything she does”, Idris Katib concluded.

On her academic achievement, Maryam said she would work hard to repeat this feat in her Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations in few years to come, even as she urge the Ogun State Government to consider awarding her scholarship for her current and future studies.
