The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the approved fares for the 2026 Hajj, with intending pilgrims set to pay about N200,000 less than in 2025.

NAHCON Chairman, Prof. Abdullahi Usman, said the new rates received federal government approval following consultations with stakeholders, including the Forum of States leadership.

According to a statement issued on Friday by the commission’s Principal Information Officer, Sani Shafii, and posted on its X handle, pilgrims from the Maiduguri–Yola Zone, covering Yobe, Borno, Adamawa, and Taraba States, will pay N8.1 million — about N200,000 less than the N8.3 million charged last year.

Pilgrims from other northern states will pay N8.2 million, reflecting a reduction of N212,000 from the N8.4 million paid previously.

For southern states, the fare has been fixed at N8,561,013.67 — about N223,000 less than the N8.6 million of 2025.

Usman advised intending pilgrims to complete full payment before the deadline of December 31, 2025.
