2025 U-17 WWC: Flamingos set for friendlies against New Zealand, Paraguay

Nigeria’s Flamingos are scheduled to play friendly matches against New Zealand and Paraguay in preparation for the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The West African side will take on New Zealand in their first warm-up game on Friday, October 10.

Coach Bankole Olowookere’s team will then face Paraguay in a second friendly encounter four days later.

Following the game against Paraguay, the squad will move to the FIFA Hotel in Rabat.

The players and officials are expected to travel to Morocco for the tournament on Wednesday, departing Abuja in the morning via Royal Air Maroc.

Nigeria has been drawn in Group D alongside Canada, France, and Samoa.

The Flamingos will kick off their campaign against Canada on Sunday, October 19.
