Winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, has revealed that renowned actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele is her biggest mentor and that she hopes to collaborate with her in the future.

The 23-year-old reality TV star made this known on Tuesday during the prize presentation ceremony in Lagos, where she received her ₦150 million cash prize and a brand-new SUV.

Imisi noted that her experience in the Big Brother house rekindled her love for acting and gave viewers a glimpse of her natural talent.

“I think people saw a lot of my acting side while I was in the house. Even my fellow housemates said I’m a natural actress. I’m ready to do more.

Funke Akindele is my number one mentor. I really hope to work with her one day. I also admire Bimbo Ademoye and Bolaji Ogunmola, they inspire me a lot.”

She described her victory as “overwhelming,” expressing gratitude to her fans and supporters across the country.

When asked about suggestions that ethnic loyalty may have influenced her win, Imisi responded:

“Maybe. Yoruba people are very supportive of their own, so that might’ve played a role. But honestly, I believe people connected with my realness and vulnerability.”

Imisi also thanked members of her Celestial Church community for their prayers and support, adding that she is determined to build a lasting career in the entertainment industry.

“Fame is new to me, but I’m ready to learn and grow. I’ll seek mentorship and be intentional about my next steps,” she added.
